FL Studio | Daft Punk - Around The World, But Something Isn't Quite Right | Remake

So I've been questioning whether I should attempt to remake this funky track myself, but ultimately came to the conclusion that it would be too difficult to authentically replicate the two main pluck synths. A couple years later and I feel like I have gained enough experience with this program to give it another shot, and I'm actually really impressed with the results! It doesn't sound perfect, but then again, what remix/remake does really? Because this was made using the FL Studio trial (I'm too broke to afford the full version right now), I have lost the .flp file. Unfortunately, I will not be able to give this to anyone. So don't ask me for it! Let me know what you guys think in the comments! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some technical info: This track uses a combination of basic subtractive/frequency modulation synthesis (first time experimenting with more complex FM techniques), predominantly using the Sytrus VST for the main plucks. Tried using an LFO routed to a resonant low-pass filter - along with an ADSR envelope applied to the frequency cut-off - to replicate the funky dynamic character of the two mains, which kind of works... Where the bass is concerned, this is just a single subtractive sawtooth oscillator which has been smoothed slightly. It has a half volume decay and routed through a resonant LP filter (pretty basic)... The pad (which comes later in the track) is essentially a weird looking saw tooth-based signal with some slight frequency modulation from a second operator. I also used a slow and shallow chorus effect with zero spread to replicate the surround effect from the original... Percussion uses various samples from Roland TR-707/808/909 and Linn LM-2 drum machines for that old school feel. I believe the original uses an 808. Kinda switched out the ride from the original for a 909 open hat 'cause audibly, it sounds better to me (plus I can't find a matching sample...oh well) Note: Sorry for the crappy video quality, my video editor is absolute dogshit (screw you, LightWorks)...but the audio you hear is fresh from the final export...
