FWT '24 is closing out with the most famous event on the freeride calendar: the YETI Xtreme Verbier. World titles are the line for many athletes, apart from the Snowboard Men’s category, in which Victor de Le Rue sealed his third title in Fieberbrunn last week. It’s a two-horse race in the Ski Men’s between Max Hitzig + Marcus Goguen, with the former a clear favorite to take the crown. The other side of the draw is a bit more open, with four possible champions in the Ski Women’s – Astrid Cheylus is leading the pack – + the Spaniard Núria Castán Barón holds a narrow lead over Anna Martinez + Erin Sauve in the Snowboard Women’s. The skiing + snowboarding action will kick off with the women who will drop first from the Petit Bec, followed by the men dropping from the top of the Bec des Rosses.
