Conflict in Terms was first climbed in 1983 on Toprope by Jon Frank who was wearing a swami belt. He named the climb in homage to the conflicting terms that could describe it. Is it a route or a boulder? We had reason to believe that it had not been lead in the 41 years that it existed. So we set off with intentions to see how possible it may be. Upon further investigation we learned that Matt Mitchell climbed it in 1997 and likely Brian Threlkeld bouldered it! Which is wild. Props to them! The bonus climb in this video is Women on Mopeds into the harder extension Babes on Harley’s. I had once followed Daniel Poulain on Mopeds, but was stoked to try out my newly acquired desert crack skills on the gnarly Harley finish!
