«Aspirations» is an overture for Chinese orchestra with energetic rhythms and uplifting melodies, representing a youthful spirit and an optimistic embracement of the future. Originally commissioned by the Singapore Ministry of Education (2008), this third version (2013) has been extended to 4½ minutes.
