Here's the one film camera you shouldn't buy: APS film cameras I've been seeing so many new people to film as on our forums where can they get this film - regular film doesn't fit and they are confused. Basically, we have to tell them they wasted money on a camera they can't use. If you're currently shopping for your first camera, I'm sharing this to hopefully save you from the same fate. APS (Advanced Photo System) film came out in 1996 and was discontinued in 2011. You CAN still buy expired rolls but the quality of the photos will be questionable. When you're shopping for a point and shoot film camera look for the APS icon on the camera and you'll know that it takes a discontinued film.
