A cover of the menu theme from The Legend of Dragoon on the PS1, originally released in Japan in 1999 and went on to see a North American and European release in 2000 and 2001 respectively. This is my entry for the Insaneintherainmusic Jazz Challenge 2 ►    • Insaneintherainmusic Jazz Challenge 2!   The Legend of Dragoon happens to be the very first JRPG that I ever played (I had never played any Final Fantasy games until playing VII in my teens). As I must have been at least 8 when I played it, I had never been able to finish the first disc as I was always stuck at one of the later areas. I found the game lying around years later and finally managed to complete it only a couple of years ago. As shoddy as The Legend of Dragoon's English translation can be at times, it is a cult classic that I still think about from time to time.
