A pretty overcast departure form Guernsey Airport in the Channel Islands to the challenging London City Airport with its steep 5.5 degree glideslope. Conditions at London City were also very overcast and of course just as I was about to land a plane turned on to the runway so I had no choice but to go around! I declared a go around to ATC and was expecting to execute the missed approach as per the charts which meant only climbing to 2000ft, but BATC had other ideas and asked me to climb to FL100🙄I then discovered I had no option to ask for landing clearance so just set her down and turned off the runway. I then asked for taxi to the gate and was told there were no suitable gates available for my aircraft, did they think I was flying a 380?😂 Beyond ATC is an early access product at the moment so these problems are to be expected, overall I like the program and the voices are really good!
