How to make crochet look like knitting with the waistcoat stitch, aka the split or knit stitch! This is a variation of the single crochet stitch, so if you haven't learned that yet, make sure you check out my previous tutorials on foundation chains and single crochet. This tutorial shows how to increase, decrease, and work this stitch flat AND in the round. Since learning it, it's definitely my favorite stitch to use on crocheted bags and clothing, and it's PERFECT for crocheting hats and double thick scarves!
