Here's the other division in the game, where you are only allowed to use Pokémon between levels 50 and 55 and those who can only be used in this game. This is based on the Nintendo Cup 1997 rules, and is the precursor to the Poké Cup that we are used to. Trainers you face in this mode are based off of actual competitors in the 1997 tournaments, so you should expect quite a bit of overused Pokemon such as Alakazam, Starmie, and Tauros. After completing the tournament, the GB Dodrio Tower is unlocked, which allows you to play Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow at four times their normal speed. I quickly show it, then move on to playing Pocket Monsters Yellow through the Game Boy Player, showing the difference between it and Pokémon Yellow international release, and the Surfing Pikachu I obtained.
