But in all fairness, few things are better than a summer day filled with gardening, Canning, baking bread, and little boys playing outside. Chocolate Marshmallow Bars 3/4 Cup Butter 1 1/2 cup sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/3 cup flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 3 Tablespoons Cocoa 4 cups mini marshmallows Cream Butter and Sugar. Add Eggs & Vanilla. Beat until fluffy. in a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt & cocoa. Add to wet ingredients. pour into a greased jelly roll, or a 9x13 & 9x9, (which is what i do) Bake at 350 for 15-18 mins. Sprinkle marshmallows on top, return to oven for 2 to 3 mins. Using a knife dipped in water, spread the marshmallows evenly. Allow to cool. TOPPING: 8 oz Chocolate Chips (1 and 1/3 cup) 3 Tablespoons Butter 1 cup peanut butter add to a sauce-pan and melt over medium heat. once melted, add 2 cups crisp rice cereal. spread on cooled marshmallows.
