After brushing off stomach pain for months, JJ was eventually diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer at 27. After going through 6 rounds of chemo and surgery, he started to feel pain once again in his stomach. His cancer then came back as terminal, stage 4. Since his diagnosis, he’s tried 5 different chemotherapy regimens, but they were all unsuccessful. Doctors then told him, he had two options: hospice and dying or trying a clinical trial. JJ then joined a clinical trial and it has kept his cancer from spreading further, beating the 25% odds of surviving past 5 years after diagnosis.
