I believe we have made it far enough along in Football Manager 2020’s life cycle that I can answer this question conclusively: I have my favorite tactic for FM20. This is not an end all, be all tactic, but a way of aligning your tactical mind that gives you the best chance to win. In the streamer showdown, Football Manager’s premier competitive event I guess, it is the most common tactic on display. Seemingly, this proves my point, but I have had great success running it in all of my saves this year. One of the most important things for a tactic is to preserve versatility throughout the season. This wide 4-3-3 does just that. But, I will not link it for you. Tactics in football manager seem to be a sticking point for a lot of people in my DMs, so consider this video part tactical breakdown, part guide.
