As everyone knows, the Honda Civic Type R EP3 is very well know to rust on the underside, in a lot of cases beyond repair. Motion Motorsport are the top of pile when it comes to fully repairing and undersealing these cars. This video shows step one of the process. In this video, the car gets completely pulled apart with its original parts coming off the underside of the car. This exposes just how much rust this EP3 has. Because Olly has opted for the optional bush, nut and bolt and powder coating, this means the old bolts get thrown on the floor during disassembly. It is a very weird sight seeing the Solid Fab super silent exhaust, Progress rear anti roll bar, DME rear LCA’s, Yellow Speed Dynamic Pro Sport Coilovers and DC5 Brembos all ripped off the car as that is years of modifications. Walking through the underside of the car reveals that the EP3 Type R is in pretty good condition compared to most but that doesn’t mean it has escaped the rust. Needing a repair on the front too. Now that all of the car is pulled apart and laying on the ground, it will get pulled apart further to send parts off to powder coating. Then the grinding and cutting out can commence.
