All About Weather What is the weather? The weather is the condition of the sky and the air outside. When you look outside, what do you see? Is it bright and sunny? Wet and rainy? or is it stormy? The weather can change from day to day and those changes can affect how we live our lives. On sunny days, it is hot and bright outside. There aren't many clouds in the sky, so we get lots of sunlight. On days like this, it is easy to get hot and sweaty so it's important that we keep ourselves cool. We should drink lots of water. And we can even eat some icecream, go to the beach, or jump in a pool to cool down. Or rainy days there are lots of dark clouds in the sky. These clouds drop lots of water which we call "rain". On rainy days, there can be lots of puddles or flooding outside. It's also easy to get wet so, if you're going outside be sure to use and umbrella or a raincoat. There is lots of breeze on windy days. On days like these, you could have some fun flying a kite. On cloudy days there can be many grey clouds in the sky. There isn't any rain but these clouds can block out the sun. Because of that, it can get a bit chilly so make sure you wear your sweater! In places where there's winter, there can be snowy weather. It can get really cold so you need to wear your winter clothes. Stormy weather can be really scary. There is strong wind, rain and lots of thunder and lightning. During this type of weather, it's best to stay inside where its safe and sound.
