*On Scene* Whitehall Fire, Multi-Alarm Commercial Structure Fire, 6-15-2024

At approximately 10:05 hours on June 15th, Whitehall Fire and Skenesborough EMS were dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at Champlain Beef just south of the Village of Whitehall. Whitehall Fire Car 48 was first to arrive on scene, confirming a working commercial structure fire with live power wires on the structure. Car 48 soon requested Fort Ann Fire, West Fort Ann Fire, Dresden Fire, and Great Meadows Correctional Facility Fire Brigade to respond manpower and apparatus to the scene. Afterwards, numerous departments from Washington County NY and Rutland County VT were requested to the scene for manpower and water supply. Units were on scene throughout the day on June 15th, extinguishing the large blaze after a multiple hour firefight. Crews faced heavy wind gusts, low manpower, and water supply issues during this blaze.
