Nepotism In Canada🇨🇦 || Worst Job Interview Experience🇨🇦 || Ravi Bhattarai

Hey everyone, Today, I want to share my recent job interview experience in Canada. I went in hopeful, but what unfolded was quite disheartening. Out of the six of us, four were Nepalese (including myself) and two were Indians. While we, the Nepalese candidates, were subjected to a very lax and disorganized interview process, the supervisor, who was from the same country as the Indian candidates, took their numbers and sent them away without even interviewing them. We had applied directly via email to the manager after finding the instructions on the official website or Indeed. We received the interview invitation through the same email. This experience highlighted the harsh realities that new international students face here in Canada. It's tough, especially for those of us coming from middle-class families. Financial stability can make a significant difference in how well you can manage until you find a job. Unfortunately, many of us have to contend with unfair practices like nepotism. People from the health sector might, and I emphasize might, find a job more easily, but those from management faculties often struggle significantly. Many of you might be wondering whether to complete your bachelor's degree in Nepal or go abroad after finishing 12th standard. My advice is to make an informed decision. It might be easier to move abroad after completing a bachelor's degree because you can bring a dependent. This way, one can work full-time while the other studies. However, don't take my word as a guarantee-it's ultimately your decision. To anyone considering studying or working in Canada, I urge you to do thorough research and be prepared for the challenges ahead. It's not easy, but knowing what to expect can help you navigate this tough environment better. If you've had similar experiences or have any advice, please share in the comments below.
