Market 32. Formerly known as Price Chopper. Located in Rome, New York on Black River Boulevard. First store was opened in 1932, and the name was changed from Central Market to Price Chopper in 1973. Since 2010, the headquarters are located in Schenectady, New York. Price Chopper, has recently merged with Tops Grocery, which had many stores then purchased by Northeast and Ahold retailers. Grocery chains, are constantly changing ownership and various holders can own various amounts of the same store name. Complicated. Oh. I got carried away with the orchids. Awesome flower. I can remember only a couple color varieties for sale years ago. Now, it's every color imaginable. Gotta love those hybrids. Humans see a single specimen, and have a obsession, to create hundreds of varieties, from that single unique whatever. Beer prices. Anyone notice the increase from less than a year ago? Anyone care? I just buy the cheapest. End of story. Use to like Utica Club, until it became too pricey. Was less than nine dollars for a twelve-pack. Let's face-it. Utica Club, is not a popular beer. Really love Great Lakes Edmond Fitzgerald, dark lager. Awesome beer. Now I just cannot locate it anywhere. Two-Hearted ale? If ya love a good IPA beer, ya need to drink down a bottle of Two-Hearted Ale. need some extra alcohol to burn on a holiday? Try Voodoo Ranger. One can of that beer is sure to alert any breathalyzer test. Like the beer bottles, but not the beer? Try Saranac Root Beer and Ginger Beer. Tasty. And many brands now make hard root beer, which I'll avoid. Everything these days, has to have alcohol added.
