It contains really beautifully shot imagery and the new 4k restoration of Legend of the Mountain looks fantastic. King Hu displays a solid understanding of how to use editing, sound cues and low budget effects to create a creepy atmosphere but this horror movie isn't really scary and is overly long. We also discuss how King Hu is feminist filmmaker and a scene that may have been an inspiration to Jordan Peele when he was writing the Get Out teacup scene.
