A picture shared by Ukrainian officials showed the pair sitting across a table from one-another in the country's capital, with their respective flags in the room. Details of the meeting had not been made public prior to the image's release. The Embassy of Ukraine to the UK shared the picture, writing: 'Surprise' with a winking emoji. 'Boris Johnson's visit in Kyiv began just now with a tete-a-tete meeting with President Zelensky,' presidential aide Andriy Sybiha said on Facebook, also posting the photo.
