Bhūmi, a concert on Climate Change curated by Aakaar featuring Smt. Visalakshi Nityanand and Smt. Priyanka Raman (both of them are renowned musicians in India and Malaysia). In this video, with a narrative by Sunandhini Pattabhiraman, they perform a Varnam set to raga Hamir Kalyani by Prof T.R.S, a melodious piece, makes one want to dance like the peacocks that flank Lord Muruga, followed by a Khyal in rash Kedar, exploring the outpouring of emotions, that one experiences while waiting for the beloved even as the rains continue to put, the skies turn dark and thunder strikes. In the artistic world, rains have been long associated with romance. The fluidity of waterbodies, the happiness of first rains and monsoon - all gives us a joy unexplainable!
