"India’s growth is nothing to write home about right now,” says former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan. Speaking to Barkha Dutt in an in-depth exclusive interview, Rajan made it clear that when asked for his opinion he told the government "in no uncertain terms" that Demonetization was not the best way to tackle black money. Calling it a "jhatka" that hit the economy, Rajan said "on day one the government should have been ready to replace the banned notes with enough currency for transactions," Rajan's new book ‘I Do What I Do’ has broken his self-imposed year long silence.
