Mount Airy, North Carolina, is the real Mayberry depicted in the 1960's show 'The Andy Griffith Show ' and is the real home of Andy Griffith. Even though this is a famous small town in North Carolina it is rich in history and it offers so much more. Charming shops, antiquing , lots of little eateries , coffee shops and is very animal friendly. Andy and Barney would love this town even more today.
