It's Star Wars Day (May 4) so check out how I made a lightsaber! I'm a huge Star Wars nerd, and so to "celebrate" May 4th, I buckled down and completed my lightsaber project. This project has been in progress for almost 2 years (on and off) and it was finally time to finish it up. It uses a Teensy microcontroller and a prop shield to play sounds, handle motion detection and drive a LOT of LEDs to create the blade.
