"Mommy, my arms hurt..." This was the beginning of the journey that forever changed Sammy's life. "'It's leukemia,' they said. And it was like the whole world caved in." Sammy was diagnosed in June of 2012 with acute myeloid leukemia. He fought valiantly, and loved going to the zoo and playing video games. He underwent chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, and spent countless days and nights in the hospital.
