Geraldton is a great place to visit! There is a lot of history in Geraldton. The Geraldton Museum was fantastic. Plenty of information on shipwrecks, settlement and resources. After the Museum take the short trip up to the HMAS II Memorial. It overlooks Geraldton and the ocean and it a very clever and well thought out memorial paying respect to the 645 lives lost. We cycled along the foreshore and stopped to check out the playgrounds and coffee stops. We saw giant marbles and the "Horizon", a piece of art along the foreshore shared pathway which runs right along the ocean's edge. We swam at Champion Beach with the local open water swimmers, checked out Geraldton's Aquarena swimming complex and the boys hit the pump track and skate park. We took a short drive to the harbour and Pages Beach and spotted a seal playing near the rocks. We stayed just out of Geraldton at Sunset Beach Big 4 Caravan Park and it was lovely. We highly recommend a stopover in Geraldton. We extended our stay from 3 nights to 5. Until next time....
