So this makes it the best time to dry mint and use it for months. There are 2 common ways to dry mint at home. One is natural air-dried which can be done under a shade on a sunny day or under a fan in a room. The other way is to do it in a microwave. In my experience, natural drying gives a stronger flavour in dried mint as compared to the one done in a microwave. Also, the colour of the air-dried mint is more even and lighter green whereas the other is dark, deeper green to black and sometimes dark brownish. I recommend using a microwave to dry herbs when you need them immediately and do not have the time, as sir drying can take anywhere from a day to 2 days(sometimes more). Air drying depends upon how much heat & humidity is in the air.
