I met David early on Monday morning for a trip to River Ranch, Florida, a non-controlled field about 75 miles southeast of Leesburg, and located near a military operations area. The Lake Amphibian Club used to meet there several years ago. I last flew there two years ago with my friend Bob. We had lunch during a heavy rain shower and our original plan was to head back to Leesburg, but David had another idea. We should stop by Bartow so he could look at the progress on his Mooney Ovation, and also discuss some additional ideas with the mechanics.
