Ducati 916 Desmoquattro - Back to Classics A V-twin with four desmodromically driven valves per cylinder, double overhead camshafts, fuel injection with individual throttle bodies and water cooling. That was technically as advanced as it could be in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The 851 and 888 Desmoquattro motorcycles have a place in our heart as Ducati enthusiasts. But nothing comes close to the shock that went through the motorcycle industry when the 916 was introduced at the Milan motor show in September 1993. It was a match made in heaven: state-of-the-art technology packaged in a strikingly beautiful design by Massimo Tamburini. We are regularly looking after some Desmoquattro models for our clients. Now that we had this 1994 Ducati 916 in for service, we thought to make this video for our YouTube channel. After all, this year is the 30-year anniversary of this great model!
