As a YouTuber, I've been approached by various artists to help them finish their music and help give my own touch to some of it. As I took on some of these jobs, I started learning how many of them work and begin their music which really demystified the production process a lot for me. Before these humbling experiences, I used to think we had to come up with every idea from our own self, that we couldn't use other artist music as inspiration, and that most artists were just Beethoven geniuses as they came up with these solid ideas. I would never be able to do that. Oh boy, as I was wrong! Many artists are just like us, and they grind out music at a level that impresses me. Many of them have systems set, and I used to think all of this was cheating before these experiences. Here are some of the ways I've seen them start the music. For us, common producers utilizing a splice vocal is a great way to start a song but did you know top producers have access to more resources than we do, like TOPLINE Vocal sources that they can pick from that the labels provide? How about the fact that writing camps are supplied for them allowing access to top songwriters. As we go down this list try to use the tips and ways in whatever way possible that you can.
