I think EMG sounds a little bit louder, but almost no difference in tone between these two pickups. MEC has a little bit more sharpness in high range than EMGs. slightly you can feel it when slapping with left-hand muted (ghost note). Maybe I think EMG has more powerful output, hence, it blurs high range a little bit? In that sense, it can be said MEC sounds more brighter and more delicate than EMG. (of course when through preamp and boosted treble and bass, MEC sounds absolutly clearer.    • Gravity   Here the sounds of MEC, treble and bass full boosted with hard compressor.)
