The TERRA system is designed to provide the advantage of the combined UHF and the S band radars, ensuring optimized detection and tracking performance on very long range targets, such as - ballistic missiles and satellite TERRA's superior performance is achieved by automatic handover between the radars and redundancy features, combined with improved target load support, Electronic Counter-Counter Measures (ECCM) and operation in severe weather.
