Archimedes' work calculates the area (called quadrature back then) enclosed by a parabola and a line (i.e. parabolic segment), which is typically solved by calculus today. He had also developed the modern idea of limits, just not in modern notations, so ancient Greeks are really only a few steps away from discovering calculus!
