Happy Sweet Sixteen, Nicholas! 🎂 Nicholas was just a six-month-old calf when he was rescued on December 24, 2002, stranding along with his mother and suffering severe sunburns. He still has the sunburn scars and, unfortunately, his mother did not survive, but Nicholas recovered through the care and rehabilitation at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. The young orphaned dolphin was given a permanent home at CMA and Nick is now a very active and loved resident, inspiring others with his rescue story. Nick's birthday is celebrated on June 24, six months before his rescue date. Recorded live on June 24, 2018.
