Ben Hur is the definition of an Epic. If you look up Epic in the dictionary, Ben Hur should be there. William Wyler’s masterful directing was complimented by the writing and excellent performances from Charlton Heston, Haya Harareet, Jack Hawkins and the rest of the cast. I loved the story, the revenge arc, the redemption arc, the journey but most importantly, I loved the scale of the film, the ambition and the production end of things, which had to be the best I’ve seen from a movie till that date. This film aged so well that I would consider this essential viewing for any film lover. Thank you for the recommendation, guys.
