North Pier GT – Kingfish on paddle tail A quick morning stop for +-30 minutes before work resulted in some mayhem for the Crow… A dead low tide saw Lionel to a slow start. He moved around working different areas and changing over to a 4inch paddle tail which he rarely uses. Straight away the action was on getting 2 BIG hits but unfortunately, the hook didn’t set… This is often the case with soft baits where the fish hits the back half of the bait missing the hook. He pushed on changing the colour to baby elf, a first for the crow and FIRST CAST he hooked and landed a decent GT for the light tackle used, this fish put a up a decent fight and was well played. Couple casts later he had another decent hookup but somehow the fish got unhooked.
