Kyle Anderson Is The SLOWEST NBA Player!

You know what a fast break looks like. Steal, sprint finish. Well Kyle Anderson is the goat when it comes to slow breaks. His specialty is finishing at a leisurely pace, nice and easy, almost looking like he’s sleepwalking. There’s a good reason why his teammates call him SlowMo. Let me show you. What up everybody my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let’s get into it. If you compare Westbrook to a Ferrari, then Kyle is probably...a tricycle. And no disrespect whatsoever to tricycles but especially to Anderson. I absolutely love how he almost hypnotizes his opponents and manages to go by them. Part of his secret I feel is the fact that players aren’t really used to this speed. Everything happens ultra fast in the NBA so it’s like their reflexes are too quick for Anderson’s moves. Look at this for example. Slow and steady dribble dribble, jump stop pump fake pump fake, scooore. You can’t guard this. You know how when a player goes for a layup, there’s a 1-2 rhythm so the defender anticipates that when going for a block. But here with this movement, there’s no way of doing that. And look at this. He moves so slow that the referees even missed a travel on him. Anderson is like the reverse James Harden. I mean, this is a travel right? I don’t even know, he does a similar thing here as well. I’m as clueless as the refs to be honest. I can’t even analyze this herky jerky movement on screen, let alone defend it. Right here he puts the entire Cavalier team to sleep in transition as he walks his way to a layup. As he goes to save the ball right here, he even falls in slow motion and that gives him more than enough time to find his teammate with a perfect lob. I am almost convinced that being slow is actually an advantage on the court. So since I mentioned Westbrook. You know how he only has 1 speed. He only goes 100 miles an hour and often makes mistakes like this. If he could only spend a summer working out with SlowMo, man he would be unstoppable. All jokes aside tho, Kyle Anderson is a very crafty and smart role player. And we’ll have a chance to see him once the season returns as the Memphis Grizzlies will try to hang onto the last playoff spot. Hopefully this fun video is a nice boost while waiting for the NBA to come back. That’s it for now.
