April Hart has been a dietician for 15 years. She has worked in a variety of areas from eating disorders, to sport nutrition, to patients undergoing cancer treatment. A lot of her work is providing nutrition to hospital patients who are fed through a tube going trough their nose or directly into their stomach following surgery OR cancer treatment. She is involved in the formula that gives them nutrition in their tubes and the equipment that delivers it to the patients. Amongst her variety of roles she is currently the dietician for the Richmond Football Club. April says she loves her job, she mainly looks after adults “ but there are a lot of children who are fed by tube as well. Some of my patients are short term tube feeders when the tube goes through their nose as they are undergoing cancer treatment and are too nauseous to eat”
