Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families in Dumaguete City

Macias Sports and Cultural Centre - Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental June 27, 2024 In a move to uplift rural communities and ensure the sustainability of the nation's agricultural and fishing industries, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the distribution of various assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and their families in a program at the Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Centre in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental on 27 June 2024. During the ceremony, the Chief Executive hands over farm machineries, equipment and other support services to enhance productivity and sustainability in the agricultural sector. The key distributions include: - PhP10,000 each to 10 beneficiaries from Negros Oriental; - PhP10,000 each to 10 beneficiaries from Siquijor; - PhP50 million to the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental and; - PhP25,440,000 to the Provincial Government of Siquijor.
