"PAMS Radio Jingles" "PAMS Series 29 Pre-Records"

Another round of "pre-records", the "generic" jingles PAMS recorded for radio stations to use as wanted. These are the ones that accompanied Series 29, "Go Go." If anyone knows more about these pre-records, I'd love to hear the story. Did stations have to buy these separate or did these come paired with the actual jingle package itself? I find them fascinating and illustrates the depth of the ingenuity of the PAMS organization. While the bulk of Series 29 featured robust, all-male vocals, the jingles were really pretty complex and featured an all-female group singing dooby-dooby-doos, dah-dahs and other wordless phrases behind the fellas. Interestingly, it's the ladies that are featured here on these pre-record music jingles. And do they ever do some of the most mind-blowing vocalizing you'll ever hear anywhere. The first cut, "lake report," features the ladies doing some incredibly fast, jazz, scat singing that Ella Fitzgerald would have been impressed with. The music bed is no less impressive. Fast-moving, jazzy but with a soulful-rocking sound, the PAMS musicians outdid themselves here. 2. 1:39 "Let's Go Go Fishing" -the Go Go fellas encourage you to relax! 3. 1:10 "Beach Report" -music bed featuring the ladies vocalizing. 4. 1:44 "Let's Go Skiing" WEeeeeeeeee!- ladies' vocals 5. 2:20 Music bed in waltz time- wordless vocalizing by the ladies 6. 2:56 "Let's Go, Go GO!" -music bed featuring the ladies' vocalizing 7. 3:23 "Hit Line" extended instrumental portion of jingle found in Series 29 package 8. 4:11 "New Sounder" another extended instrumental portion of Series 29 jingle 9. 4:47 "Let's Play Go Go!" the mind that came up with this unholy mixture of time signatures is pure genius. And once again, the ladies had to sing something impossibly difficult and made it sound so easy. I once heard somewhere the jingle one of WABC's DJs came up with using this piece. It was called "Got Those Make It Fit Blues." Wish I could find it because he sang in perfect time and kept with the shifting time signatures with perfection.
