A solo day out on Sgurr nan Gillean, Am Basteir and Bruach na Frithe. Route started from Sligachan then up Sgurr nan Gillean via the Tourist route, a descent via the west ridge and an abseil down Nicholsons Chimney, across to Am Bastier via the bad step, then across to Bruach na Frithe. A descent via the corrie and a wee dip in the clear waters to end a cracking day on the Cuillin. Some excellent sunny weather, dry rocks on the the sunny side and very warm for September.
