Blowing Rocks is one of the few places you have to stop and ask yourself "is this really Florida?!?" This Nature Conservancy Preserve is named after the largest exposed section of the Anastasia limestone formation on the east coast. At high tide waves surge through cracks and holes in the rock cliffs creating spectacular "geysers" of water that can shoot as high up as 50 feet (15 meters) into the air. Low tide allows you to explore the cliffs, caves and crevasses. Snorkeling on a calm summer day is a perfect way to explore the abundant aquatic wildlife that calls the preserve home.
