[SCP Theme] Duplicity and Disillusion - The Rise of the Chaos Insurgency

Welcome back everyone, They say, "you either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain". The chaos Insurgency is considered to be one of the main antagonists of the SCP foundation, though that was not always the case. "To the majority of the Foundation and the anomalous world, the Insurgency was a splinter group that went A.W.O.L. with several researchers and anomalous objects. In reality, the O5 Council had created the Insurgency to complete missions with ethically questionable methods and politically unsavoury results" And this did work, for a while at least; The Foundation's biggest lie had become a reality, and the Insurgency actually went rogue. The Foundation covered it up with the pretence that they were always a splinter group not sanctioned by the Foundation, though the reasons for this defiance were never resolved. The Insurgency tells us that they will use the anomalous to build a utopian future, where humanity is master of everything; not just a mirage where "consensus reality" itself is an illusion perpetrated by the Foundation. And perhaps what they say is true; Maybe they were disillusioned with the actions of the Foundation. Maybe they were sick of the Foundation's duplicity. Maybe they wanted to create a utopian world by becoming the villains. Maybe they always had these aspirations of destroying the status quo. This is what we are left with; a lot of Questions and none of the Answers. Though, the alternative is a lot more terrifying; what if these Idealistic aspirations are but a cover for the true intentions of the Chaos Insurgency, and what are the true goals of the Chaos Insurgency? Who knows what the Chaos Insurgency actually wants?
