In his very personal book «Life is hard», philosopher Kieran Setiya reflects on philosophical recipes for dealing with pain, fear and frustration, as well as loneliness and hopelessness. He categorically rejects cheap consolation maneuvers: «It'll be okay! » or «Everything happens for a reason!» are inadequate and even hurtful recipes for coping with life's difficulties. Instead, he pleads for a practice of suffering and mourning and for the realization that there are many different ways to lead a good life - especially in view of the fact that deep feelings usually come at a risk. Together with Kieran Setiya Barbara Bleisch takes a look at the shades of gray in life and discovers a different color quality. In this version, the questions are in german but with english answers.
