1 minute skatepark guide Craigieburn #3 Victoria, Don’t skip this video, you haven’t seen it. This is yet another new skatepark for the crazy residents of Craigieburn. And this one may be the best one of the lot, well for inline skaters that is! We tried to hit every obstacle in this skatepark guide so let’s go! This is unique with the Coping box that turns into a quarter bowl, a bit of wax and you are going for a ride! Next up the curved rail, just a nice little rail that has wedge transitions on either end of the rail so you just float up onto the rail. The baby curved ledge is next to the rail and it too is fun but very low and good for beginners who want to try a curved ledge. On the back side of that is the ledge or is it a square rail, basically if a rail and a ledge had babies, this is what you would get! Now let’s get serious with the long and mighty rail! This rail is very long and also has wedges that float you up onto it with ease! Would love to play on it some more! That brings me to it’s step brother the Mighty Ledge, just a long marble ledge! On the flip side of the park is another ledge that isn’t as mighty and due to poor construction, the last segment has moved and is a bit of a hazard to skate. A modern skatepark needs an up and over rail, however the over is a bit too acute and brutal but fun to play on. I’m getting exhausted doing the skatepark guide but let’s power on! The Tombstone is a marvellous addition to the skatepark, it’s brutal and unforgiving if you aren’t 100% focused on what you are doing. It’s girthier than a well fed caterpillar. Over to the Fuji quarter pipe, you can grind on either side or jump it with lots of speed! The emerging ledges are always fun from both directions and the top one is marble and the bottom is metal edged. Hit them with lots of speed because you need to get to the top of the bank to grind them. And just another P Rail in the park incase you want to practise grinds on the flat ground before you take them to the other rails. Two manny pads with an offset gap so you can gap to grind or whatever dude! We are getting close to the end, this brings up the widow maker, it’s like one of those construction barriers that is inserted into the skatepark. Very hard to skate these and easy to hurt yourself on them. Nothing could be possible without the speed in this park and in the top corner there is a big platform with high banks to get speed for the rest of the skatepark. The concrete is still very smooth and slippery so this bank is much needed. Lastly, there is a decent pump track right next door and it is also a lot of fun to pump like the front tyre on a penny farthing cycle. Amazing skatepark and we give it a combined score of 6 VB’s out of the six pack. Well done Cragieburn, you have the most bestest skateparks per capita in Australia!
