This week I leave Middlewich and head down the Trent and Mersey Canal towards Oakwood Marina navigating my way through fallen trees, shallow canals and overgrown bushes. Are the northern canals in decline? With all the stoppages and lack of maintenance it looks so, however with the government recently cutting the Canal and River Trusts funding are things going to get worse? Lets hope not as I absolutely adore this lifestyle but I am going to change things up and head south next year! I finish the video off by meeting my wonderful friends and heading to the Bowling Green in Northwich for one of the best freshly cooked meals I have had in a long time - Highly recommended. ------------ Thank you so much for watching.
