Somehow they had managed to make an unbelievably authentic South Park experience in the form of a Role Playing Video Game. About 3 years later they followed it up with an even more robust sequel, The Fractured But Whole, delivering an elevated, more ambitious, and more cinematic experience than the first. So needless to say, after the announcement that another South Park game was in development, fan anticipation was HIGH. And in August 2023, South Park Snow Day was announced, which I would say was met with… mixed reactions. Whereas the previous games made you feel like you’ve been dropped into an episode of South Park, Snow Day looked to be an entirely different beast, abandoning the 2D paper cut out style of the show for a fully 3D action adventure co-op game. And now, a mere 7 months after that announcement, the game is here. So the question is, does it deliver a fun South Park experience, or is it too big of a departure after the previous entries were such adored extensions of the show itself?
