Comparison to ARCore, ARKit and RealSense

An outdoor visual-inertial tracking case on foot. We compare the performance of Google ARCore (Huawei Mate 20), Apple ARKit (iPhone 11 Pro), Intel RealSense T265, and our VIO solution. Our monocular VIO method uses camera and IMU data (accelerometer & gyroscope) from the Mate 20 Android phone. All the devices were attached to a rig, where we also had an RTK-GPS sensor that provides the ground truth trajectory (accurate to a few centimeters) in this video. None of the methods used the GPS data as an input.
