[YT: KUE KERANJANG (DODOL CHINA) KUE UNTUK TAHUN BARU IMLEK!!!] Ingredients: 1kg of Glutinous Rice Flour. 1kg of Sugar (or use 800gr). 200gr of Sago Flour. Pandan Leaves. Additional Utensils: Empty Can (Canned Fruit, Canned Mushroom, or any can) {Cleaned} Banana Leaves (Cleaned, For Wrapping). Steps: Heat up the cooking pan, then put in the sugar (200gr) then caramelize the sugar until became caramel (red brown colored), now add the pandan leaves and some sugar. Then add in 500ml of water. Stir it until the sugar is mixed with the caramel and the pandan aroma is spreading. Wait until boiling, then take out the sugar from the pan and put it to the bowl then wait until cooling down. Now grill the banana leaves until became soft (not burnt). Then cut the banana leaves to any molder or can shape & size. Put in the banana leaves cut into the molder or can. Wrap the inside part of the can until fully covered (can or cupcake molder). Now put the 1kg Glutinous Rice Flour into the mixing bowl, add 200gr of Sago Flour, some salt around ½ teaspoon, then add 1300ml of caramelized sugar, then stir the ingredients until blended perfectly. Now put the Cake mix into the can (inside part is covered with banana leaves), you can put in around 500gr (or 600gr depending on the can) of cake mix into the can. Then put the can into the steamers with boiling water inside, then cover the can using cloth or any clean fabrics (so the water can’t get in) then cover the steamers. Steam it for approximately 5 hour and 25 minutes. Turn off the stoves, then take out the can. Take out the cake from the can, place it to a plate then unwrap the banana leaves. Chinese Caramel Cake is ready to be served. Enjoy.
