Meatloaf Burgers, it's combining two great things into one. I use my mom's meatloaf, which is an Italian style meatloaf, and it's my entire families favorite. All other meatloaf pale in comparison to my mom's. I took these a step further by putting them on a homemade brioche bun. That recipe will be up tomorrow 😉 I served it with lettuce and tomato. The whole family loved them. These burgers have some ketchup on top to keep with the meatloaf theme. This is the only thing I eat ketchup on, but my brother, who won't eat ketchup on his meatloaf, ate this burger with mustard, and he said it was delicious. So the topping variations can be whatever you'd like! Meatloaf Burger: Made 8 Pattties 1 1/2 lbs Ground Beef 1 teaspoon seasoned salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon dried basil 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon ground thyme 3/4 sleeve of saltine crackers, crushed 1 onion, finely minced 1/4 cup milk 2 eggs Brioche Buns (check out my recipe) Lettuce Tomato Ketchup Cook in a cast iron skillet or a greased pan 4 minutes roughly on each side until nice and brown. Top with ketchup and pop in the oven or the broiler for a few minutes. This will caramelize the ketchup on top. I was baking some tater tots, so I just put the pan in the oven with that. Put on a brioche bun, I have a brioche bun recipe coming up next, so look for that. Add desired Toppings, I served it with tomato and lettuce. I wanted to keep this to my mom's delicious meatloaf, but if you want to add a cheese, I would add some fresh mozzarella to top these burgers with.
