Peter Hook and the Yamaha BB together have created a sound that has reverberated speakers for close to 40 years. Starting with the BB600 with which the beautiful, cult anthem 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' was written on, to his trusty BB1200s which featured on every record he's played a 4 string bass on, to his current customized BBP34, we're incredibly proud that Hook believes that the BB series helped to "define his sound". In this video we explore the roots of Hooky as a musician and the series of events that brought together a working class lad from Salford, UK with an active Japanese bass that together recorded some of the most instantly recognizable bass lines of all time.
